Former actress and socialite Gretchen Barretto denied that she’s supporting ABS-CBN after the House of Representatives junked the franchise application of the said television network.
In a series of Instagram posts, Barreto disowned a Twitter account named after her that expressed support to the 11 lawmakers who pushed for the franchise of ABS-CBN.
“THIS IS A FAKE TWITTER ACCOUNT!!! I Have Not made a single statement regarding congress & abs cbn 👊👊👊” Barreto said.
“This is a FAKE Twitter ACCOUNT! I DO NOT HAVE A TWITTER ACCOUNT. I AM PRO DUTERTE 👊👊👊,” she also posted.

Rita Avila, who’s a known supporter of ABS-CBN couldn’t stop herself from giving comment on Barreto’s post.
“You are right, no single statement made,” Avila said.
When netizens asked if Avila’s comment to Barreto was a sarcastic one, the former clarified that she’s supporting the latter for being ‘truthful’.
“Hmmm, I think some didn’t get my comment right. I am supporting Gretchen for her truthful caption. Tutoo ang sinabi nya,” Avila commented.
After being called out on social media, the fake Barreto Twitter account changed its name to “Not The Real Greta, Way Better”
“The POSER OF A TWITTER ACCOUNT CLAIMING TO BE ME IS NOW CLAIMING TO BE ( way Better ) Dreams are free .if it helps you ESCAPE YOUR REALITY, Go 😂#proDuterte👊” Barreto said after she saw the transformation of her fake account.
Even some celebrity friends of Barreto, like Ellen Adarna, couldn’t stop themselves from laughing at the action of the fake account.
